For this new 3,500 sf family-oriented home, the client wanted the scale and character to reflect the Madison Park neighborhood but the style to be more modern than traditional. Shugart Wasse Wickwire created a modern adaptation of the classic East Coast Nantucket home. Simple but elegant materials were chosen to blend with the surrounding houses – wood, stone and shingles. The home abounds in natural daylight and the open floor plan is perfect for relaxed Northwest family life. Features include ample porches and a detached garage with an artist studio above.
