REO Flats is an existing 100 unit Apartment Building in the historical auto district of Capitol Hill. The name’s origin comes from the REO Motor Company that sold their cars on Broadway going back to the 1920’s. The program consisted of opening up the lobby, leasing office and storage room to each other for better flow. SWW used materials that would evoke an early industry concept. Back-lit blackened steel panels were added to the double-height lobby while a new built-in coffee bar encourages sitting. New lighting, built-in furniture and striking materials bring the spaces together for a cohesive look.
